Tucked away, in an underground bunker next to Cardiff Castle is a Craft Beer Bar which I recently visited when going to see the rugby. It is run by Hopcraft - Pixie Spring Brewery from Pontyclun and opened its doors in mid 2015.
There are 20 keg lines of which 16 are guest lines and 4 are permanent. There are also 15 cask lines ensuring an excellent selection of drinks are available. All styles are catered for and understandably several beers from Hopcraft are available including a New Zealand hopped Pale Ale called 'Slave to the Wage' which is a great way to finish a hard day at work as well as a Blackcurrant Porter.
Bar snacks are the order of the day but if you ask nicely enough you might be allowed to bring in some food from local takeaways.
They have a series of pump clips on display to show what beers are soon to be pouring out of the lines and they also have multiple screens to watch the rugby on. Also the staff are very knowledge and help you to choose a beer that suits your palate.
